These past two day I had a wonderful time with repeat clients Marvin Ross and his Daughter Melissa from Chicago. the duo had fished with me in The Amazon and holds the record for the most Peacock Bass caught in a single day , 147.
Now back to Florida , First we headed to Miami for the smaller Butterfly Peacock Bass. They had a ball catching over 35 fish including Mylan Cichlids, Largemouth Bass and of course several Peacock Bass up to 4 lb.
The next day they headed to the famed “Lake Okeechobee” , for some explosive action. Once again Melissa out fished dear old Dad. Marv had his chance but lost a possible 10 lb. Bass as we watched it jump and spit the hook.
Together they caught between 35- 40 largemouth with 2 Gar and one big Bofin.
The fishing has been great and this year I feel” The Lake” will do exceptionally well, with the way the water conditions are. Our peak season is coming so if your thinking about getting out of the cold this winter , I suggest you book your dates early.
Capt. Frank Carbone , “The Hawghunter”, and Guides work 7 days a week and waiting to take you Fishing.
