Lake Okeechobee still producing Big Bass

Today I guided long time client Tommy Stewart from New Jersey and his brother- in -law George.
We had a late start with threatening weather and a front coming in . Well, in the first 2 hours the boys only managed 2 Bass a Giant Bofin and a Gar.
“BUT”, when the front passed the skies clear and the bite was on. The duo starting catching bass one after the other. Most of the bass were in the 3-4 lb range with one over 6 Lb. caught by Tommy a few 5 lb.
The boys ended up boating over 45 Bass , and had a ball. All the bass today were released for the next angler to catch , “YOU”
Part of the success of this trip was the healthy shiner purchased at Slim’s Fish Camp in belle Glade.
These bass are starting to come in from the lake to spawn and they are as strong as ever.
