First there was Peter and his Son, all the way from Norway had a great 1/2 day of fishing in the Evereglade’s catching 18 Bass on Shiners and plastics.

Nest was return client Terry Richardson from GA. and his Son having a ball catching Peacock Bass in Miami. The duo caught a varity of fish. The only thing is I have no picture of Terry only his Son, Savon. Oh that’s right his was bigger.

Next was John Lee and his Son also from GA. had a nice day catching 5 differant species of fish , but of course mostly Florida Peacock Bass.

In Florida the Peacock Bass spawn all year round. ., even though the Prime spawning season is March &April and again in AUG. So come on down and catch some of these scrappy fighters.

Today was a great day as I enjoyed the Salines Family from Texas, Tony, Erica, Eric & Aidan. The Day started out with a heavy down pour which forced us to fish under a bridge. As soon as the rain stopped we spotted three Peacock Bass , but no luck in catching them.
So I ran to another spot, once there the action started. We had sighted a nice Peacock Bass up against the banks. Both Tony & Erica started to pitch for the first of several Peacock’s to come. As always Lady Luck strikes again, as his lovely wife Erica was victorious.

A Happy face
Everyone caught a peacock bass even 4 year old Aidan , they also caught a few other tropical species. to top out the day around 11 Peacock Bass .
You and your Family can also enjoy a day on the water with Capt. Frank, “The Hawghunter”

The day wasn’t looking in our favor with dark clouds and a heavy down pour at the ramp before we launched the Triton. Well,I guess the bass gods were looking down on us and you’ll see why.
What a Banner Day for this Angler from PA. Gerg Lesnotk. The day started out with Greg catching a 5 lb. Largemouth on his third cast.

5 lb. Largemouth
As we fished down the canal of The everglades we were catching bass on a steady pace. Greg then caught a 2 .5 lb. Bass and , “stated that this is a great catch for his home waters. By the end of the day , he caught a bass that was and stated ’ Oh! it’s ONLY 3.5 lb. Boy ! do we spoil our clients.
By mid day he had the 5 lb. 2 4 lb. and several chunky 3’s.
Greg thought that these Bass were going to be his biggest
Then he tossed a worm in to the pads , and there was a Massive Explosion. Greg battled this nearly 9 lb. “HAWG” out of the pads into the open water, then proudly hold up his trophy and the Biggest Bass of his life.

A Monster Bass 9 lb.
This was mostly all top water action , Greg finished off his Banner day with a nice 6 lb. Greg will go back to PA. to brag about his day on the water with “The Hawghunter” Capt. Frank Carbone, Good Fishin’

What a Pair of Bass
Greg caught a 25 lb. Bag of Bass ( 5 Bass )

Today was a split day with Vic Campbell from Delaware and his Son Craig. Vic operates Potomac Guide Service and is also in the fishing industry. We started out in Miami catch 11 peacock’s before heading over to the Glades. Once in the Glades the boys caught several Bass up to 3-4 LB. Nothing of great size but a lot of action and a fun day of catching. Most of the bass were caught on Gambler Ace wacky style.
Last week I had Glenn Lapham and his Son Ryan from Boston for two day’s of fishing. South Florida is the ONLY place you can fish for both Largemouth and Peacock Bass in the same Trip.
They started out on day one for Peacock Bass fishing, which turned out to be a great choice for the first day.
Ryan started things out by hooking up to a nice 30 + lb. crap before we headed to the canals system for what they came for , Florida Peacock Bass. Again Ryan got things rolling by the first of 14 Peacock Bass 1 largemouth & 1 Jaguar Guapote.
The day ended up with both men catching a double, from there we headed to Sonia’s for a nice Lunch.
Day two the boys had a ball in The Everglades catching Largemouth one after the other with Ryan taking charge on this beautiful day in the Glades.
. Also Ryan caught the Largest Bass. With Dad catching every species even caught a chain pickerel. The combined catch was well over 50 Bass.
Join me on your next visit to South Florida” Home of the Peacock Bass”. Let Capt. Frank show you how to catch them.

While the boys sent the wives off to Orlando the men did some serious fishing.
On this split day we started out in Miami for some Peacock Bass. Within the first few hours they each had a few peacock’s before a storm forced us off the water.

Harry Gualco from Oregon, a Pro angler who has fished the world for over 35 years, decided to see what Florida had to offer.
Harry came down with 5 other anglers for 4 days of fishing .
The first day we headed to the Florida Everglades for Largemouth Bass. Amazed by the amount of fish that were caught in one day, Harry new he found a new fishing destination. Harry counted over 170 Bass that day with the least amount one boat caught was 87, all the bass were caught on artificial.
Day 2
Went to Miami for some Peacock Bass fishing, the amount of fish caught was no where near the amount in the Glades. What was agreed, the fight of the Largemouth Bass was no match of that of the Peacock Bass . The Peacock Bass pound for pound is the most hardest fighting freshwater fish there is.
After a hard day of Fishing we headed for our favorite watering hole, Sonia’s for some great Cuban food and cold beer.
Day 3
Was the hit of the trip as the boys experienced The Big “O”, Lake Okeechobee.
All my guides boated Bass over 5 lbs. and several bass in the 2.5 – 4 lb. range.

6.6 lb. Largemouth
The bait of choice was the NEW Gambler EZ swimmer , if you haven’t tried this bait , go out and buy it. This bait is a top water plastic bait , that drives the bass crazy. It has a lot of noise and vibration as you swim it through the heavy cover or open water. If you don’t know where to buy them you can order them direct on my site.
Harry & Darryl had a blast catching several bass and loosing some “Hawgs” in the weeds until that got the idea of the hook set. The highpoint of the day was when on the last cast Harry hit a 7.15 lb. and then Darryl doubles with a 5. 15 lb. to end a great day on Okeechobee.
There were other Bass that day caught 4 more over 5 lb. and 2 over 6 lb.
Day 4 no doubt was back to the Lake for more fantastic top water action.
If your looking to catch that Lunker Bass give Capt. Frank Carbone a call, “The Original Hawghunter of South Florida”. Let him show you where the Big Bass are.
Give me a call you won’t regret it. 954-325-1115
