Trevor Taylor from Kansas thought there was no place like home, until he caught Bass in Florida. Trevor single handed caught over a 25 lb. bag of Bass. He started off with this nice 5 lb.  which was only the begining.

The day did start off a bit slow then when the sun came up the bite turned on , and the action was non stop.  Trevor never set down the one Rod all he did all day was swim a worm through the pads.

Here was another result

On the last cast of the day at around 1 PM he landed but another 6 lb. bass and ending a Great day on the water with “The Hawghunter’ , Capt. Frank Carbone.

Today I had return Clients Bob Parkinson & Friends from Pennsylvania.

3 Nice Bass

They hammered the Everglade’s today by catching some nice BASS. The bite has been a little tough these past few week . The reason the water levels are still a bit high.

"The Everglade's"

The day started out beautiful until a cold front rolled in around noon and wind blowing about 25- 30 MPH , that forced us off the water. Never the less the boys put some nice Bass in the boat up to 6 lb. All the bass today were caught on shiners. and released for the next angler , “YOU” to catch. If your coming down for the holiday’s give us a call you won’t regret it.

The Bedznar’s from Chicago have been fishing with “The Hawghunter” for the past 12 years. Today was special because this was the first time 7 year Old Mathew came fishing with us. His older brother Mike who was 7 the first time he fished with me and is now 18, started things off with the first fish of the day. Then Matt got his first Florida Bass from the Everglade’s.

What a Fight

Matt needed a little help from Dad, Chuck holding up his Bass.
Within an hour young Matt set the hook on his trophy a nice 21-1/4 ” by 14 -1/2 ” Bass. This will earn him a certificate from the State of Florida for catching one over 5 LB. By 11:00 AM it was so hot, so we called it a day around noon, and headed to the swimming pool.
The real Family Angler, Amy  was left behind taking care of the youngest, 4 year old Grace.

4.5 LB. Peacock Bass

All the bass today were caught on Shiner’s and released for the Next Angler to catch.

The South Florida action has been steady, in the hotter weather. My peacock Bass trip have been averaging between 12- 25. On the other hand the Largemouth Bass in the Everglades has been higher in numbers. Your average day on the water is around 50 with an occasional larger one in the 5-7 LB. range.

First from New Jersey was Paul Zara and his fishing buddy. On there day of fishing for Peacock Bass they totaled at 23 the biggest being 3- 3/4 LB.

Then I was very impressed to have Jim Mc Connell Florida and his two lovely daughters . The girls left their Husbands & Children home as they went with dear old Dad on their traditional Fishing Trip. The Trio have been Hunting  Fishing together ever since they were young, “I think this is great”. They had spent 3 days on the water , first they peacock bass fished and then hit the Largemouth on the next two days.
The Bass have been hitting real good on Gambler Ace and Large 10- 12″ worms on the bottom.
Then finishing up the week was Harry Beerridge and his Son from Virginia having a great day catching up to 25 peacock Bass.
The thing about South Florida fishing it is good all year round.
